Five time Tony Award-winner Julie Harris recreates her award-winning Broadway portrayal in this powerful and touching look at the final 17 years in the life of Mary Todd Lincoln, widow to the martyred president. In her signature role, Julie Harris as Mary Lincoln scavenges desperately for money and loses her cherished son, Tad ( (played by Robby Benson) to consumption. Mary is later branded a lunatic and committed to a mental institution; spending her final days fleeing from the prying eyes of the public and a scandal-hungry press.
Robby was in Acts four & five of the play. In Act five Robby's character Taddy was very sick.
