Sarah befriends Jonathan Ravenhurst Blackwell who disguises himself by the name 'Gerald McDougal Young' a handsome young antiques dealer (played by Robby Benson.) Sarah finds him bookish, yet masculine. He inspires her to use her life of privilege in a way to benefit herself and others. He also inspires Felix to look for "old junk", in hopes he makes a fortune. Sarah helps Jonathan fool his wealthy aunt, but funny antics ensue when the townspeople accuse Jonathan and Gus Pike of being thieves.
